Preserving Open Space
Maintaining open space to enhance the quality of life for residents is a priority of the Springfield Township Board of Trustees. The township encourages preservation of open space and development of recreational facilities that meet the needs of the entire community.

Features
The Parks Department maintains 12 park and recreation areas, totaling 168 acres located throughout the township. These areas include T-ball, softball, and baseball fields (seasonal), 13 soccer fields (seasonal), 1 football field (seasonal), 4 basketball courts, 3 tennis courts, 2 sand volleyball courts, and 7 horseshoe pits. Six of the parks offer picnic shelters that are available first come, first serve. 

Winton Woods Park, voted the Best Park in Hamilton County, anchors the northern border of Springfield Township. Winton Woods features miles of walking and biking trails, nautre paths, a lake, playgrounds, campgrounds and two golf courses. Great Parks of Hamilton County operates and maintains Winton Woods.
