Neighborhood Watch

Neighborhood Watch is a crime prevention program that is set up to help prevent crime from happening and allows the police to respond before there is a victim or property loss.

Springfield Township Police Department's program is based on the National Neighborhood Watch Program and encourages citizens to become more involved in the protection of their communities.

- It establishes an organizational structure and creates an information sharing network.

- It helps to introduce neighbors and create social ties that will help them work together.

- It allows police to train citizens on how to be proactive by preventing crime and how to recognize and report criminal activities.
