Our Equipment

The Service Department continues to pursue new equipment and technologies aimed at providing more effective and efficient services to the community.

The department now has calcium spray tanks on each salt truck, which enhances the salt's ability to melt snow and ice.

We have plans on updating our pavement management system. This system includes a review and technical evaluation of all township streets by an independent engineering firm. The data, as well as other critical information, such as traffic counts, mileage, and project construction costs, assures that the road resurfacing budget is spent on projects having the greatest need and greatest benefit to township residents. The system also provides the township with the ability to forecast the anticipated failure date of the particular road thereby enhancing the ability to plan for future capital improvement needs.
