Classes at the Springfield Township Senior/Community Center are non-refundable unless the class is canceled by the Township. All fees are due prior to the first day of class. Some classes may be canceled due to lack of registration. The programs offered are by qualified instructors who are independent contractors and are not employed by the Township. A liability waiver must be filled out upon the first day of class. If you have any questions regarding these programs, please call 522-1154.
Summertime Kids Art Camp
Presented by The Springfield Township Arts and Enrichment Council
AGES 7 to 12
Minimum 9 campers, Maximum 15 campers
Cost: $120 per 4 week session

Session 1: Mini Masterpieces
Mondays, June 10 - July 1, 2013
In Mini Masterpieces, children will create original artwork using inspiration of famous artists. Each Monday, the instructor will introduce a new artist, style and artistic media. Themes will include Kandinsky Canvas Paintings, Van Gogh Pastels, Calder Mobiles and Dali silk painting. Over this series, students will work with clay, acrylics, oil pastels, wire, inks and fabric.
Session 2: Creative Crafts
Mondays, July 8 - July 29
In Creative Crafts, kids will get messy, getting crafty! Each Monday, the instructor will introduce a new, three-hour craft project. Crafts will include puppet making, tie dye t-shirts, bird house painting and clay pottery. *Students are asked to bring an adult sized button down shirt to use as a smock. (A mens dress shirt works well!)
AFTER SCHOOL ART CLUB
Looking for somewhere safe for the kids to go after school? Need an art program to fit your homeschool curriculum? Springfield Township is now offering After School Art Club. Art Club is held for students in grades 2 through 6 on Wednesdays from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. and on Thursdays, 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. for students in grades 7 through 12.
