These grant dollars are vital to the continued success of our road improvement programs. We could not afford to perform these projects with the funds generated by our existing road levy.
Sidewalk Replacements:
Each year the Township Board of Trustees budgets for repair and replacement of failed sidewalk blocks. These are sidewalk blocks where the height differential between two adjacent blocks exceeds 2” or where more than 25% of the block is comprised of loose or missing pieces. These blocks are being replaced at no additional cost to the resident.
This year we will be replacing almost 13,000 square feet (approx. 650 blocks) of failed sidewalk blocks in:
District 1 (Pleasant Run Farms)-by contract
District 5 (Lexington Hgts, Wellspring and Glencoe)-by contract
District 8 (WCH, Golfway)-by Township forces
District 10 (Valley and Edgemont)-by Township forces
Also on Daly, Winton, Section, Summit, Edgemont, Meredith, Fleming, and Ridgeway.
