Planning & Land Use

Establishing the Plan

The township originally established a Land Use Plan for the community in July 1998. Prepared by a 17 member committee made up of township residents and business leaders, township staff updated the plan in 2004.

The Land Use Plan, which was adopted by the Springfield Township Board of Trustees and Hamilton County, identifies spatial land use recommendations necessary to achieve community goals and objectives. The plan also serves as a guide in the review of privately initiated requests for zoning amendments, and aides in the decision making process by providing a framework and rationale for approval / denial of zoning amendments.

Available Maps

The Land Use Plan and Zoning maps are available for review in the Township Administration Building during normal business hours.
