What is a JEDZ?
A JEDZ is a mutual agreement between the township and a city or village in which businesses and employees within the designated zone are charged an earnings tax that the municipality collects. The city or village that the township partners with for the JEDZ will collect the earnings tax and revenues collected will be allocated to the township and the partnering municipality based on a percentage outlined in the agreement.
