[ARCHIVED] Ice Storm Debris Tree Limb Pick Up Information

IMG_0029

(November 15, 2018 – SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Hamilton County, Ohio) As a result of the ice storm on November 15th, numerous trees and limbs have fallen and many may be entangled with downed power lines. The safety of our residents is our number one priority. Springfield Township Police, Fire, and Public Works departments are working diligently alongside Duke Energy to clear all roads in the fastest manner possible. We anticipate all roads in Springfield Township to be open by the evening hours of Friday, November 16.

Beginning Monday, November 19, Public Works crews will begin collecting fallen tree limbs affected by the storm damage in Springfield Township. In order for Public Works crews to take tree limbs, property owners must stack all limbs at the curb no later than 7AM on Monday, November 26.

• The cut or broken ends of each tree limb must be street-facing

• Limbs must be LESS than 6 inches in diameter

Please note that other yard waste, including leaf piles, brush, stumps, roots, etc., will not be collected.  Large piles of brush stacked by a contractor will also not be accepted.

Thank for your continued patience and understanding of the above referenced removal criteria as we work to clear debris from the roadway and begin collecting the downed limbs/branches.

Please contact the Township Director of Infrastructure and Development, Michael Gould, at 513-522-4004 or mgould@springfieldtwp.org if you should have any questions.
