🚨 Snow Removal Update: Keeping Our Community Safe ❄️
To our residents: Thank you for your patience as we navigate this historic snowfall—the most we've seen since the late 1970s! 🌨️ Here's an update on our snow removal efforts:
-16 dedicated drivers are working tirelessly to clear 400 streets in the Township.
-Crews have been pre-treating and plowing since 8:00 AM yesterday, with only short breaks to rest.
Due to the unprecedented snowfall in such a short timeframe, we’ve focused on keeping through streets passable for emergency and essential travel.
Remember, main thoroughfares such as Winton, Daly, Hamilton, Galbraith, and others are either County or State routes and are maintained by those respective agencies not the Township. See a complete list here: https://www.springfieldtwp.org/174/Township-and-County-Roads
-Crews are back out now and will work until approximately 8:00 PM tonight.
-They’ll return at 3:00 AM tomorrow to clear all streets to the high standard you expect and deserve, working through the afternoon.
We deeply appreciate your understanding and patience as our team continues to work around the clock to ensure your safety. If you have specific concerns or needs, please don’t hesitate to call Public Works at 513-522-4004.
